liu renhuai, male, born in july 1940. in 1999, he was elected as the academician of mechanical and transportation engineering department of chinese academy of engineering. in 2000, he was elected as one of the first academicians of engineering management department of chinese academy of engineering.
academician liu renhuai is one of the pioneers in the plate and shell structure theory and applied studies in china. he is an expert in the theory and application of management science in china. he has made outstanding achievements in the fields of mechanics and management, and has won many scientific research awards at the national and provincial/ministry levels. in 1981, he studied in germany as the first group of humboldt scholars in china, and taught in lanzhou university, university of science and technology of china and shanghai university successively. he was the president of ji’nan university, the director of the mechanical teaching guide committee of the ministry of education, the director of the management science department of the science and technology committee of the ministry of education, the vice director of the engineering management department of the chinese academy of engineering, the chairman of the chinese vibration engineering society, and the vice chairman of the chinese society of theoretical and applied mechanics, the vice chairman of the chinese society for composite materials and so on.
academician liu is currently the president of guangdong academician federation. at the same time, he serves as a part-time professor of university of science and technology of china, tongji university, lanzhou university, shanghai university, nanjing university of aeronautics and astronautics, chongqing university, southwest jiaotong university and other well-known universities, an honorary professor of griffith university in australia, chief editor and editorial director of the magazine science and technology innovation and brand.
at present, the academician liu studies management and mechanics. he is a doctoral tutor of such disciplines as enterprise management, management science and engineering, touri** management and mechanics. he instructs the doctoral and postdoctoral students majoring in management and mechanics and at many universities.
